It really is a dog eat dog world out there, especially when it comes to having an online home business. The competition is brutal. Every one is trying every trick in the book to get noticed.
You see banner ads with a sexy man or woman on it. You see websites with a sexy woman walking on and talking to you. You see the perfect looking couple sitting on a beautiful romantic beach. You see a hot man or woman driving away in a hot red sports car. And this is just online, how about off line advertising?
Online Business
Ever been to Las Vegas? There are billboards plastered all the way down highways with exotic looking men and women. There are taxi cabs with pictures of women wearing little to nothing. I think you get the idea!
They say sex sells, well maybe it does, but do you really want your business to be noticed as nothing more than a sex symbol? I do not know about you, but I want my business to be known as a family business. This is where puppy power comes in.
Puppies Bring Laughter
A survey was done by the American Pet Products Association. They said that almost 40% of all households own one or more puppy. That 77.5 million dogs in the United States alone, have owners. Many people feel that a house is not a home without a puppy.
There are other surveys that have been done in hospitals and old folks homes. They say that a puppy brings laughter and can make sick people feel better.
Have you seen the Charmin toilet paper commercial? The one where the cute little puppy is compared to how soft the roll of Charmin is? People relate to cute little puppies, even if they are not a dog lover, puppies are just irresistible.
My Dog Ate My Homework
When advertising, you first have to get people to notice your ad, then you have to capture peoples emotions. Your ad needs to create a high response and needs to be remembered. At least 80% of the population has had a puppy when they were little kids. Seeing a puppy brings back that exciting memory they had when growing up.
That cute little ball of fluff that would sneak into bed with you at night. The one that would play tug of war, the one that would chew up your homework. I am sure at one time or another you told your teacher, “My dog ate my homework!”
It is a known statement that, A dog is man’s best friend! If you have a dog or did at one time, you know what it is like coming home from a hard days work. No matter what, your dog is there to great you with wagging tail. Or your puppy is there to lick you all over. Now that is what will bring a smile to your face.
Puppy Logos
So just how can you integrate a puppy into your online home business advertising? Start by doing a Google search on puppy logos. You can find a cute little puppy picture and put it on your banner ads. You can put them on your blog and even on your website. If you have your own puppy or dog, take pictures of them and put them on your blog.
Then think of a slogan that will go along with what your product or service you are selling. It does not necessarily have to be pet products you are selling to use a picture of a puppy. Just use the puppy to draw attention to your ad, and let people know you are a loving family.
People will relate to your advertising more if it is a cute little puppy, as it brings back memories. Puppies bring out the little kid in all of us. So, in your online home business, try using puppy power!
